QC Seismic Data Processing
Once the integrity of positioning and data quality are assured, processing the data from a well designed seismic survey is another complicated process with many facets.
From the beginning of a seismic survey, the end product had to be carefully considered. Once we get into processing, the reality of the acquisition product and the geology of the surveyed area have to be re-examined. Were the offsets and angles adequately adjusted to allow for best potential of imaging under the salt? There is no genuine 'one size fits all' processing sequence. The intelligent assessment of processing requirements and the potential use of up to date methods to identify rock properties as well as map reflections will have cost and time implications that hopefully were planned into the original project scope.
Qualified and experienced support in evaluating, planning and then quality controlling the data processing of a project is fundamental to the ultimate project value.
